Brown Enterprises of Kansas was formed in 1992 with the discovery of a niche market building computers to catalog artwork for museums. From there we branched out to building computers for college classrooms. It was fun, exciting and we didn't have much competition in our field. Personal, hands on, meeting face to face with clients steadily grew the customer base.
By 1995, the popularity of the World Wide Web exploded into new streams for entrepreneurial companies. BEK is just such a company. Diving into web development, design and web navigation the client base began to steadily grow to include online services.
1997 brought many changes for BEK. The CPU warehouse closed, however the company expanded with products online that included items outside the field of computer based operations. Software development, along with engineering aircraft contracts attracted a wide variety of new customers.
By 2000 BEK became based almost solely in the online services field. The online success is due to increasing educational opportunities to companies in the area and worldwide. Providing service to the Arts and the professional segment of the population, i.e. museums, doctors, lawyers, engineers and many realms of the scientific community, including technology, BEK has kept a place at the forefront of web development.
